Supercut: The Millennium (So Far) in Cinema [2000-2016]

Website: Facebook: Twitter: For this video, I tried to capture the best of film from the 17 years of this new millennium. Not every great film is here, but I tried to include as many as possible. Emphasis was placed on cinematography - I tried to choose shots that had interesting lighting, composition, or movement. Only one shot was chosen per film, so I often went for something thematic or iconic, something that I felt represented the larger film. The final result includes just over 100 films. How many can you identify? Also, one film has two shots in the supercut - which one? 6. Bashar :: The Manifestation Space - Highlights

Bashar :: The Manifestation Space - Highlights

Information and Ordering: Bashar teaches us how to redefine the limiting concepts that keep us from manifesting what we desire and what best serves us in life. Take the path of least resistance and align with your true self in “The Manifestation Space.” Q&A Includes: Why do I keep manifesting physical illness despite feeling my best mentally? What permission slips can I use to help me start my business? Bashar speaks on guilt. Has our reincarnation process come to an end? Does not eating meat raise your frequency? Can I revoke my karmic debt? Can clearing my soul contracts increase my financial abundance? Are there zombies among us? How can I create healing music more powerfully? Is there a civilization in a parallel reality where music is the main focus? How many negative beliefs do I have? I have been experiencing a lot of kundalini body shakes. Can you comment? Can we return to oneness? How can we process the pain of letting go? Is it dangerous to mix ayahuasca with the kundalini energy I am feeling in my system? Did I do wrong to my ex in a past life which is causing her to do the same to me in this life? Could you elaborate on when you say “life is inherently meaningless?” How can I help victims of rape and sexual violence? Bashar speaks on victimhood. Can you speak on genders? Does the experience of sexual ecstasy between 2 people require a polarity of genders? I used to see entities when I was a child but it stopped. Why? When you speak of “becoming human” do you mean becoming an enlightened being? Can you beam me up Bashar? How can I interact more with species from another civilization? Do Thoth and the Emerald tablets exist? What did they mean by “Gods at war” in the Bhagavad Gita? Why were the Pyramids made? Can we meet for coffee Bashar? How can I get over my anxiety? Does the universe protect animals and children when they’re abused? How does The Manifestation Space relate to parallax? How can one access the template reality? Does physical reality cease to exist at 200 kHz? Do you have a message for me from my guides? Do you have any messages from my future children? What is there to learn after acting on our highest excitement as humans? How can I interact with you more directly? Are drugs used in festival cultures a crutch? What are the significances of eclipses? What is your take on Apasana? (10 day meditation). Bashar speaks on permission slips. I feel stuck! Can you help? The pollution in the vast ocean makes me feel overwhelmed. How can I redefine this? I have been experiencing debilitating pain for the past 16 years and I’m done. I want it to be healed! Can you help? I channel “The Language of Light” but I don’t know what to think about it. Can you tell me more? Are the entities that are met in a past life regression therapy session usually aspects of the same oversoul? Can I manifest a unicorn in my reality? Could you guide me on a health issue? Bashar speaks on detoxing and breaking things down into manageable steps. How can I tell the difference between fear and intuition? Will cryptocurrency be a replacement for our current economic system? While studying I am forgetting things that I learned. Help! Is DNA an interface between the soul level and the physical level? How long after death does it take the body and the soul connection to separate? If you are focusing on manifesting something in particular, isn’t that already an expectation? Does it increase manifestation by telling yourself “this imagined scenario is real”? Are you gamma plus? _______________________________________________________________ © Darryl Anka - Licensed to Bashar Communications - All Rights Reserved

Baby Harpy Eagle

A few weeks ago, wildlife photographers Jeff Cremer of Rainforest Expeditions and Lucas Bustamante and Jaime Culebras of TropicalHerping, had the chance to film and photograph one of the rarest birds of the rainforest, the Harpy Eagle (Harpia harpyja). Not only did they see a Harpy Eagle, they were able to climb into the canopy and observe two Harpy Eagles with its chick for two days. At one point they were so close they had to switch lenses just to get the entire bird in the frame. "Its so rare it’s like seeing a Unicorn” says Jeff Cremer of Rainforest Expeditions. “When Jaime and Lucas sent me a message on Facebook saying that they found a Harpy Eagle nest I booked the next flight to the jungle.” Harpy Eagles are the top predators of the Amazon sky. These massive birds of prey have a wingspan of six to seven feet and, when sitting, have the height of a five-year-old child. Coming equipped with talons the size of Grizzly Bear claws and a huge beak that dismembers monkeys and sloths with ease these creatures clock in as the worlds most powerful bird of prey. Despite its large dimensions (a big female can be more than a meter in length and have a wingspan of more than two meters), actually seeing a Harpy Eagle in the wild is a major birding accomplishment. Unlike other birds of prey, the Harpy Eagle doesn’t soar but prefers to lurk in the canopy of the forest like some monstrous winged feline. It catches prey by surprise and goes after everything from monkeys to kinkajous and even Brocket Deer. Their large territory also adds difficulty to the equation since a pair uses anywhere from 3,000 to 7,000 hectares of forest for hunting. When one is seen, it’s usually a brief glimpse of a massive bird flying away through the top branches of the forest. "Birders spend their whole lives just to catch a glimpse of the Harpy Eagle. We were incredibly lucky to be able to sit in a tree for two days right next to a family of them. What makes that especially rare is the fact that a pair of Harpy Eagles nest just once every two or even three years." Cremer said. "I've seen Jaguars, Tapirs and Puma and have even been the first person to film new species but seeing the Harpy Eagle feed and interact with its chick was really amazing." At around 4:30am while it was still dark, the team gathered up their photography gear and hiked into the jungle. After a 30 minute hike the team arrived at the tree and started preparing for the climb up. Using climbing harnesses and ascenders the team climbed twelve stories into a huge rainforest tree. What they saw, perched twelve stories high while strapped to a tree, was a Harpy Eagle chick nestled in a four-foot thick, five-foot wide fortress of branches and soft leaves. The chick was patiently waiting for its mother to return and eventually, she did. "We were really surprised when she showed up. She swooped in without a sound while carrying a full grown Brazilian Porcupine in her claws," Cremer said. “She just sat there and watched while the baby ate it up.” After they ate the Porcupine, the mother bird began calling until her mate, a huge male Harpy Eagle, came flying in to deliver half the body a sloth to the nest. Fellow wildlife photographers and biologists Lucas Bustamante and Jaime Culebras of Tropical Herping have spent the better part of the last decade photographing wildlife in the Ecuadorian rainforest and were with Cremer to photograph and film the eagle. "In my country, Ecuador, there is an Amazonian tribe called the Huaorani," Bustamante explained. "They believe that they are descendants of the Jaguar and the Harpy Eagle. They worship these two animals as their gods and view them as being very important to the jungle. After being face to face with an Harpy Eagle it is easy to see why they believe that. Finding myself in the jungle with that mythological creature, was like being in front of a legendary Griffin." "This rest of the trip was like paradise," said Jaime Culebras, "We were able to photograph two Jaguars, a Puma with her baby, a family of Otters playing a few meters from our boat, hundreds of macaws eating right in front of our cameras, four species of monkeys on trails and dozens of peccaries visiting the lodge just about every day. Adding the pair of Harpy Eagles feeding their young in the nest made this trip a dream come true!”

Thlides - Crowdfunder video

We need your help and support to get Dirty Rascals' second theatre show Thlides on at the Wandsworth Arts Fringe and the Camden Fringe in 2016. We're currently looking for funding to help cover some of our production and venue hire costs. In return, you will have our undying affection and some tasty tasty rewards. Spawny John, an army veteran, and Duck, an inflatable duck, sit halfway down a Butlins water slide. But they're not the only ones looking to do a spot of sliding today. A surreal dark comedy addressing the finer points of death, loneliness, and soup. 'Thlides' is a project we are currently developing with two writers, Danny Cooke and Dan Spicer. We see the piece as an opportunity to experiment with outlandish and bizarre characters, and undercutting these dreamlike encounters with the real and the mundane. The play will premiere at the Wandsworth Arts Fringe on 18th - 19th May at the Cat's Back in Putney as part of Fragility's Takeover. Thlides will also have a run at the Camden Fringe on 21st - 23rd August at the Lion and Unicorn in Kentish Town. For more information, see our crowdfunding page at: Twitter: Facebook: Website:

Secret Sandstone of the South West

This is a kinda, not so secret area in Durango, Colorado with a few really good climbs. This is the other weekend in December when me and Mike Vice went up and sent some of the classic climbs, with the exception of the Unicorn Killer (which we must return for!) I think that the Centaur Slayer is a first ascent although I am not sure! Feel free to comment with any information!

Job 39 - The Holy Bible (KJV)

The Holy Bible King James Version Job Chapter 39 1) Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? or canst thou mark when the hinds do calve? 2) Canst thou number the months that they fulfil? or knowest thou the time when they bring forth? 3) They bow themselves, they bring forth their young ones, they cast out their sorrows. 4) Their young ones are in good liking, they grow up with corn; they go forth, and return not unto them. 5) Who hath sent out the wild ass free? or who hath loosed the bands of the wild ass? 6) Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the barren land his dwellings. 7) He scorneth the multitude of the city, neither regardeth he the crying of the driver. 8) The range of the mountains is his pasture, and he searcheth after every green thing. 9) Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib? 10) Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee? 11) Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is great? or wilt thou leave thy labour to him? 12) Wilt thou believe him, that he will bring home thy seed, and gather it into thy barn? 13) Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto the ostrich? 14) Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and warmeth them in dust, 15) And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them. 16) She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not hers: her labour is in vain without fear; 17) Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to her understanding. 18) What time she lifteth up herself on high, she scorneth the horse and his rider. 19) Hast thou given the horse strength? hast thou clothed his neck with thunder? 20) Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils is terrible. 21) He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength: he goeth on to meet the armed men. 22) He mocketh at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turneth he back from the sword. 23) The quiver rattleth against him, the glittering spear and the shield. 24) He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage: neither believeth he that it is the sound of the trumpet. 25) He saith among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smelleth the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting. 26) Doth the hawk fly by thy wisdom, and stretch her wings toward the south? 27) Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high? 28) She dwelleth and abideth on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place. 29) From thence she seeketh the prey, and her eyes behold afar off. 30) Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain are, there is she.

Lazaro Godoy ArMOUR

A generous commission provided by Miami Theater Center gives experimenting dancer-choreographer Lazaro Godoy the welcome opportunity to interweave his visual arts and performance passions. ArMOUR is part of MTC’s "Inside the Box" series of productions by artists who combine art disciplines. Godoy will premiere his multimedia, multisensory work January 27 in the MTC “Sandbox” theater space. In 2013, after years working abroad, “They offered me this space to create, to do research,” he said, recalling the intuitive connection he and MTC’s director and co-founder, Stephanie Ansin, immediately established. On June 30, Ansin resigns as director, and the company will be restructured under newly-elected Board President Giselle Kovac’s guidance. Local audiences experienced the audacious emotional tumult of Godoy’s Bare Bones, performed in 2014 with his “girlfriend-partner-soulmate” Carlota Pradera. Last year, Brookdale provoked audiences with a dizzying re-creation of his harrowing ordeal of detention, mental hospital confinement and healing. In this emotionally charged return engagement, GodoyPradera Projects & Programs will co-produce and perform ArMOUR. Godoy always wanted to be a visual artist, but never received formal training. Failing an audition in his hometown of Pinar del Rio, Cuba, he was refused entry to art school, but his mom soon proposed dance as an alternative. Godoy successfully auditioned ¬and after studies in Cuba, eventually graduated from both New World School of the Arts in Miami and Juilliard in New York. While his dance career took him to the Netherlands, Switzerland and Israel, he maintained an informal drawing practice, usually giving his work away. ArMOUR, whose title combines “amour” and “armor,” merges Godoy’s talents and dramatizes the transformation of identity through love. “It’s given me a lot of headaches, but in a good way,” he says, while moving through the black box on Jan. 11, strategizing, conjuring up and enacting elements of the installation. Everything must coalesce quickly when he gains continuous access to the space on Monday, Jan. 23. “ArMOUR is revealing [itself] to me little by little, and hopefully by the time I perform this I will receive those messages. It’s like I’m a channel,” he says. “So I’m already preparing outside whatever I can with the drawings and sketches and ideas I write down.” Those drawings will serve as a cinematic storyboard, he explains, sketching animatedly with his hands. “At the beginning, you enter the room and you feel something is going to happen. There’s a tension. You need a little of that sensation... There’s a little bit of fear, and ‘What’s happening here?’” Where Brookdale channeled audience members to their seats in a simulated airport gate, ArMOUR will present a maze of suspended metal tubes, which will chime or clang as audiences – and the protagonist, clad in medieval-style steel armor – move among them. “I’m already making them connect with me without touching me,” he predicts. Godoy’s movements will be restricted. Besides its emotional impact, his stiff, heavy shell will provide sonic and sculptural elements to the performance – particularly as he sheds it in parts. Song, emanating as a high-pitched castrato-like, voice will be indefinable of gender and time. The choreography will derive from the bodies in the drawings disposed about the space; also from a series of new photographs by Maksimilian Dikarev. In Godoy’s preliminary vision, “Carlota will be like a goddess coming on a horse or unicorn. She will come from above, and eventually we meet, and it becomes a clean, clear, colorful world.” Texture will come from drawings on the floor, made of colorful, fragrant frosting. “This will stick to our bodies. This sweetness of us together, creating joy and light where time stops will also be incorporated. Time stops; it’s stretchy it’s long; it’s calm,” he says. Pain, surrender and acceptance underpin the story’s unfolding. “Eventually, I take off those layers and I’ll be very vulnerable. The body, when it’s exposed… you’re just completely transparent. You’re just your body,” he says. And that scarred, imperfect body contains stories. Romance provides the redemptive force. “If there’s love, it transports its protagonists beyond the limits of personality, background, time and space…. Nowadays, we all need to work on this as much as we can,” he concludes. ArMOUR runs Fri, Jan. 27- Sun., Jan. 29 8pm. Godoy’s drawings & Maksimilian Dikarev’s photos on view 2 p.m. – 7:30 p.m same dates. Miami Theater Center Sandbox, 9806 NE 2nd Ave., Miami Shores; tickets $25. 305-751-9550. Sea Unicorn_time lapse

In times of early global exploration, seafarers would return home and recount stories of the amazing creatures they caught a glimpse of while sailing the oceans. These tales were spun into myth, generating belief in fantastic animals and legendary monsters. It was thus that dolphins leaping out of the waves and the Narwhal’s tusk were merged into the identikit of the magical, elusive unicorn. This is our tribute to the myths of the sea, to wanderlust and the power of imagination which have always led humans to discovery.
