10th ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION In the winter of 2005, the Wakefield Warriors high school basketball team was making history. Led by third-year coach Tony Bentley, the team had just finished the regular season (25-0) with their second district title in two years. The Warriors now try to keep their streak alive on the road to a state championship. This is their story... Featuring interview with players and coaches and behind-the-scenes footage REMEMBER THE WARRIORS follows the Wakefield High School boys basketball team on its run to the state championship. Note: This film was made by a then 18 year old Cutter Hodierne (Fishing Without Nets) during his senior year of high school. Hodierne played for this team's rival school, and when Wakefield ended their season, Cutter picked up a camera and hopped on the bandwagon.

Dear White People Concept Trailer

DEAR WHITE PEOPLE A satire about being a Black face in a white place. Click here to help bring this film to theaters: Remember when Black movies didn't neccesarily star a dude in a fat suit and a wig? Or have major plot twists timed to Gospel numbers for no apparent reason? No? Damn... Well believe it or not there was a time when "Black Art-House" was a thing. When movies like Do The Right Thing, Hollywood Shuffle, and Boyz In Da Hood were breaking box office records as well as making us laugh, cry, and think in ways movies hadn't before. The humble producers of DEAR WHITE PEOPLE, a satire about being a black face in a white place, long to bring those days back. But we can't do it without you! We pieced together what resources we had to make this trailer in order to entice investors for our planned million dollar feature. Armed with this trailer and your support we plan to make this film a reality. Click here to help bring this film to theaters:

Apogée - Memorial film for Andreas Fransson and JP Auclair

On September 29th 2014, I lost my two best friends JP Auclair and Andreas Fransson in an avalanche on Monte San Lorenzo near the border of Chile and Argentina. It has now been one year since the accident. I created a film to celebrate and remember our lovely friends. This film is from our last years together where we skied, worked and had amazing adventures together. We went to Chamonix, Norway and Chile. Andreas, JP, Daniel Rönnbäck and I started a project together called, Apogée, which means – The highest point in the developing of something. The project was Andreas and JP’s idea, travel to magnificent destinations and create beautiful, touching ski movies to inspire others around the world. 6. Video Essay: POWDER "Outside Appearance"

Video Essay: POWDER

October 27th marks the 21st anniversary of the release of the classic film "Powder" directed by Tim Burton. I thought I'd take a look back and remember some of the cool stuff they put in the movie. It's important because it's filled with character dialogue, a great message, hope for humanity, and more. I hope you enjoy my take on it. If you're not familiar with the video essay format, don't worry, you'll catch on quick, it's just me talking over awesome footage from the movie. Maybe you'll even be inspired to make your own video essay -- it's important that we have millions of video essays or film culture is in deep shit. For every movie or movie topic, there should be at least 5 video essays. Thanks! If you enjoyed this essay and would like to support movies, please consider purchasing a hat that says 'movies' on it:

Heading to Tokyo

Today, I left my home in the countryside to attend meetings in Yokohama and Tokyo, ending up at the Century Hyatt Hotel in Shinjuku. I grabbed movies here and there and picked up a tripod in Yurakucho after getting tired of hand-held shots. Still have a lot to learn... I need to remember to leave enough room before and after my shots for the transitions, among other things. Shooting moving things is a lot harder than taking movies of leaves waving in the wind. ;-) Most of the scenes were taken with my 85mm at f/1.2 on my Canon 5D Mark II. Make sure you watch this in HD if possible.

Ten things I have learned about the sea

this video is based on footage I shot on marine vessel "Portland Senator" on the route from Los Angeles to Shanghai, in December 2008. let it load. if you don't have patience or don't know me personally, you might not want to watch this. music by Hammock. album: Maybe they will sing for us tomorrow songs: "this kind of life keeps breaking your heart", "we will say goodbye to everyone" UPDATE: i have uploaded some daily life pictures from the trip here: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: how long did the trip last? it was a total of 17 days, if i remember well. which i'm pretty sure i don't. did you work on the boat? no, passengers are not allowed to work. so what did you do all day then? i did lots of reading, watched lots of movies, kept an illustrated diary, did a series of illustrations for an art show, and lots, lots of staring at the sea. how did you get on the boat in the first place? i contacted the company that owns and operates the ship, they already know what is needed to organize passengers trips. they sent me some documents, i sent them some money, got the necessary visas and just showed up at the Long Beach port where they told me to. was the food ok? actually it was pretty good, they even made pizza one day. did you find bad weather while at sea? we were going to, but unfortunately the captain decided to steer away from it. next time. what did you shoot this on? i used a small consumer mono-chip HD camera.

The Remember Movie Official Trailer HD

Remember is now available on DVD! It's the year 2050. We are recovering from a catastrophic collapse of the economy and population implosion. We have traded our freedom for security, turn our children over to the state at birth and take memory blocking drugs to cope. Captain Carl Onoway's job is to protect children from adults who might attempt to break free from society's mold and reunite with their children. Following a traumatic incident, Carl receives a series of unusual messages that challenge him to remember his past, question his beliefs about families and lead him to play a double role that not even he himself suspects. What is a man to do when he finds himself on the right side of the law, but on the wrong side of truth?

KBR: King Cobra - Full Snowboarding Movie

This is KBR's 10th snowboarding movie. The season 2013-2014 was a really hard one because of the worst snow conditions in northern Europe we have ever witnessed. We had to travel up north to Finnish Lapland countless times to get things done. Some of the riders went for a long trip to Canada where a lot of stuff was done with the french ripper Niels Schack who was a new addition to the crew. We also managed to make a trip to the Alps to get some backcountry shots for the movie. The season ended up being an adventure which all of us will remember for a lifetime. We are extremely proud that we made it and we can offer you our tenth movie KING COBRA. Take your time, turn up the volume and enjoy the movie! Find also the download link of the movie file below this text. Ps. We will have a break of making KBR movies after King Cobra. Two Inches to the Right

Words / Mat Lloyd Animation / Matt Frodsham Follow up to the award winning 'Blokes'. A mixture of hand rotoscoped and 3D elements created in Photoshop, Cinema 4D, After Effects & the odd scrap of paper. A bit about the poem from Mat Lloyd: "I wrote the poem on a canvas with a marker pen the morning after I was attacked. The night before I was in my local park on the opening day of the skate park I'd helped get built, it was nearly midnight. We'd organised a DJ to play the day out in a marquee and I just popped out to take a leak. In my drunken state I was stumbling to find a bush when I heard, and felt, a sort of 'boink' sound. I knew I'd been hit on the back of the head, and I knew it wasn't with a fist. I don't remember much else other than being back at the marquee with a bleeding head. I was very lucky as a number of my friends and other revelers had spotted me being kicked on the floor and ran over to drag me out. For that I am very grateful. Living near London, the poem has never been retired and still appears in my performance sets. With youth violence seemingly growing year on year, the poem is as relevant now as it was when I wrote it. People blame hip hop culture, movies, video games, parents, the education system, unemployment, the list goes on. I don't have the answer. The saddest thing about "2 Inches to the Right" is all to often, someone from the crowd comes to speak to me after I leave the stage and tells me of their friend who died in a similar situation. The poem gives them hope that some may listen, and think twice." - Mat Lloyd If anyone has any additional platforms this could be broadcast from to reach more people and hopefully make them think twice get in touch Check out the project blog for in depth production notes and screens: View Blokes here:

Happy New Year Review

Yet another movie with a ridiculously high budget, great focus on actors and songs, yet no attention given to the story. Happy New Year, a terrible way to start the new year. Sit back and remember the days when Shahrukh Khan made good movies.
