While we are currently tearing across The Great White North on our first Canadian headlining tour, Brian and Jason will be taking part in two in-store appearances at Steve’s Music Stores.

The first in-store will be at the Toronto location of Steve’s Music on March 4^th.  The second in-store appearance is scheduled for the Montreal location of Steve’s Music on March 8^th.  Check out the flier below or head over to www.stevesmusic.com for more info.

Shadows Fall have been tapped to host the next episode of MTV2’s Headbangers Ball which will air late Monday night (Feb. 15th)/early Tuesday morning at 3:00 AM EST
The guys will be spinning some of their favorite metal videos, some of their own videos and they will be premiering their video of their take on the classic Ozzy Osbourne track “Bark at the Moon”.

If you can’t wait to get a glimpse of Shadows Fall’s new “Bark at the Moon” video, you are in luck.  MySpace.com will be premiering the new video this Friday night at Midnight PST (3:00 AM EST)

PUBLIC VOTING BEGINS

FOR THE NO LABEL NEEDED CONTEST & SERIES PRESENTED BY SCION

The No Label Needed Contest & Series presented by Scion in collaboration with Metal Insider has opened up public voting to enable fans to help pick the winner of an opportunity of a lifetime!

The public can vote now through 3/8 at www.metalinsider.net/nolabelneeded.  The public vote is limited to one vote per day per  IP address. The collective public vote counts for 20% of the final results.  The remainder of voting will be done by an expert panel of notable metal artists, agents, writers and managers.

The winning band will receive a personalized, all-encompassing tutorial focused on the secrets and tips needed to achieve success in the music industry through DIY means of marketing.   Winners will be mentored by the members of Shadows Fall, record an EP produced by Machine (Lamb of God, Every Time I Die, Suicide Silence), shop for their stage and photo shoot clothing with Maria Brink (In This Moment) and Rob “Blasko” Nicholson (Ozzy) and receive advice from the likes of Ben Weinman of The Dillinger Escape Plan.  Their website will be re-designed, their merch re-imagined and radio and press campaigns mounted to promote their EP by the best in their fields. 

The series is not only meant to be a learning experience for one band, it is meant to teach any dedicated musician who wants to learn how to properly market their craft.  Readers will be able to interact with contest partners and contributing musicians and professionals through the site to get some real insight into specific areas of expertise.

The snow has started to melt, the days are getting longer and the time has come to announce this year’s lineup for the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL. Massachusetts metallers SHADOWS FALL have been tapped to play on the Jagermeister Stage with Hatebreed, Chimaira and Winds of Plague. This is the first time SHADOWS FALL will be a part of the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL, and they cannot wait for what is sure to be the metal tour of the summer.

SHADOWS FALL front man Brian Fair had the following to say about being on this year’s ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL: “We just wanted to thank all the fans that voted and spread the word about getting Shadows Fall on this year’s Mayhem tour!! SCION AND METALINSIDER.NET TEAM NOW ACCEPTING ENTRIES FOR THE NO LABEL NEEDED CONTEST AND SERIES
